Tom Caulfield, the President of F.L. Caulfield & Sons, Inc., began his career as a teenager in the construction industry under the expert tutelage of his father Frank, first as a laborer and then as a carpenter and eventually a site superintendent. Tom joined the US Marine Corps in 1968 during the Vietnam War. Upon his return from overseas, Tom continued to dedicate himself to the success of his father’s company. After obtaining valuable experience and insight into field operations, Tom focused his efforts on learning the business side of the industry as a project manager and estimator.

Tom’s hands-on approach proved to be the cornerstone of his success. He accomplished this by ensuring that open lines of communication are established, and the spirit of partnership is always maintained. Tom has earned a lasting reputation for integrity, fairness, and quality of work.

In 1983 Tom took over the reins from his father as the President and CFO of F.L. Caulfield & Sons, Inc. His responsibilities included overseeing daily operations, business development, project negotiations, and administration. Tom also strives to maintain principal involvement during each phase of construction for all projects private and public. Under his leadership, FLC has enjoyed steady growth through careful planning and diversification of clients.
